Perfect Pairings

There are few things that are quite as relaxing as a dinner straight from an Italian’s book. I’m in Oklahoma visiting my mom and after a long day of travel we decided on a delicious dinner at home.

Our first inspiration was to get some decadently combined olive oils and balsamic vinegars. We selected a basil olive oil, lemon olive oil, peach white balsamic and blackberry ginger aged balsamic. What to pair with these delicious flavors? Caprese of course! We selected some mozzarella and cherry tomatoes to compliment our basil olive oil. Combine this platter with olives and artichokes, gluten free crackers, hummus and red bell peppers with a delicious Gavi Gavi wine and it was dinner from heaven!

We let a surprisingly delicious find (our oils and vinegars) take us back to our trip to Italy two summers ago and it was a hit! I encourage you to have a food inspiration this weekend too.
